Kurnell Stingrays Club

The Kurnell Junior Rugby League Football Club was formed after a committee meeting on 17 th November 1991. In all, seven teams took to the field for the 1992 season. The clubhouse, built in Marton Park adjacent to Marton Hall, caters to an active membership in excess of 180, including players. Today the Stingrays are fielding ten teams in competition with other clubs. The name 'Stingrays' originates from Cook's own log when he first named Botany Bay 'Stingray Harbour'. The Kurnell Stingrays are currently attempting to raise funds to buy equipment for the youth in Kurnell and investigating the possibility of installing a running track for training purposes around the football oval.
