The Village Community

Kurnell Community Youth Development Centre

On 1 st September 1999, representatives from Kurnell Stingrays Club, Kurnell Netball Club, Kurnell Nippers Club, Kurnell Girl Guides, Kurnell Scouts, Kurnell Tennis Club and Kurnell Progress and Precinct Committee met to devise common projects for the benefit of the youth in Kurnell. As a result of this meeting, the newly formed committee is investigating the viability of developing the wetlands behind Marton Park and building a multi-purpose track and heritage walk around the park. The walk, an environmental experience, is to include viewing platforms over wetlands and will feature displays of both Aboriginal white history of the area.
